Dreaming, Thinking, Missing...

I have been watching an old 2005 HK drama series, Healing Hands 3. About 4 years ago, I have seen 2nd half of the 40 episode series but did not manage to catch the 1st 20 episodes. I have seen Healing Hands 1 and 2 many years ago. I like to watch hospital drama series, in particular those from HK or Singapore. It brings back fond memories of my 6+ years working in a hospital which ended more than 3 years ago. Although my area of work did not involve patients but mainly specialist doctors and the hospital management, I like working in the hospital environment and hence I am able to identify with hospital drama and the operational aspect of a hospital.

Recently, I also caught up on news relating to the hospital/healthcare scene in the country that I grew up in...

Hospital 1
In the west part of Singapore where I used to live with my parents (my parents are still there), a 700-bed acute hospital and a 280-bed community hospital will be built and completed in 4 years' time. I saw the plans for this project and they are impressive. The best part is, it is literally a stone's throw away from my parents'. I wish I could work there...

Hospital 2
Last month, a hospital in the north of Singapore was officially opened. This is too far for me to work but it was another good option to consider.

Hospital 3
I also found out that the private healthcare group that I was working for, is having a new hospital built by 2012. If I were still working that that private healthcare group, I might seize the opportunity to get myself transferred to this new place to lead the department that I was heading. The blueprint of the hospital looks really nice and I could imagine myself working there...

Hmm, I sometimes do miss the working environment I was in... and my colleagues and doctors, and being in the hospital wards, the operating theatre, the ER, the ICU, the boardroom, the laboratory, the clinics, the doctors' lounge, etc...

Oh well, enough dreaming... I know that I probably will not go back, not to mention work in a hospital in Singapore... Not unless something happens and the Lord guides me and my family in that direction. Back to reality now, I am a part-time administrative secretary and a full-time homemaker, dressed in a casual top and jeans to work or the apron at home - no more 'power' skirt suit and heels :)
